Frequently Asked Questions

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

Take a breath, there's no performing required here.

I'm not going to line you up and tell you to smile. I show up, we have a chat, and I let things unfold. The best shots always come from the moments you forget I'm even there.

Wear something you feel like yourself in, bring the chaos, and if you're nervous, just tell me. It usually makes for better photos anyway.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if the weather is unfavourable for an outdoor shoot?

Honestly? Some of my favourite shots have come from the worst weather days. Overcast skies, golden light after rain, a bit of wind, that's not a problem, that's personality. But if the weather is genuinely unworkable we'll reschedule, no fuss, no fees.

Mother nature runs the show out here. We just work around her.

Frequently Asked Questions

Im a business, do you plan the full shoot?

Great news, you've come to the right place. But let's make sure we set each other up for success.

You've hired me for my style and my eye, and I take that seriously. Before the shoot we'll sit down together, chat through your vision and work out a run sheet so the day flows easily. I'll share my honest opinion every step of the way and do everything I can to deliver what you're after.

That said, you know your brand better than anyone, so the planning and direction needs to come from you. I'm here to bring it to life, not build it from scratch.

Oh and if UGC footage is on the list, please come with a script ready to go. If you'd rather hand me the creative freedom, just brief me beforehand and we'll run with it.

The more prepared we both are, the better the outcome. Simple as that.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have young kids, what if they don't cooperate on the day?

Honestly, good. I don't need them to sit still, smile on cue or behave perfectly. I need them to just be kids. The tantrums, the running, the chaos, that's the stuff you'll look back on and actually feel something.

Let them be little. I'll do the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

We're a large event, can you cover everything on the day

The honest answer is, no single photographer can be everywhere at once. So before the day we'll sit down, go through your run sheet and work out the moments that matter most to you.

I'll make sure the important stuff is covered, and I'll keep my eyes open for everything in between. If your event is large enough to need a second shooter, I'll let you know upfront. No surprises.

Frequently Asked Questions

We're a small business, is this worth the investment

That depends on what you're currently using to represent your brand and whether it's actually doing you justice.

Good imagery isn't just pretty pictures. It's the first impression, the thing that stops the scroll, the reason someone clicks. If your visuals aren't reflecting the quality of what you do, that's worth thinking about.

Let's have a chat and work out what's right for you.
