I'm Matilda, mother, self-taught photographer, and someone who pays attention where most people don't. I'm here for the big show too, always. But what draws me in is everything that happens around it.

The prep behind the chute. Kids yanking on their boots. A horse being saddled in the early light. Families gathered around a table that's seen a hundred meals. Gardens coming alive in spring. The dust of a rodeo before the gates even open. A hidden corner of accommodation that tells a story all on its own. The wild, unhurried feeling of a real adventure.

The moments people forget are even happening, those are the ones I'm chasing.
